Over 300,000 visitors celebrate the long night of museums in Austria
On Saturday, October 5th, the 24th edition of the "Long Night of Museums" took place, in which numerous museums all over Austria opened their doors until midnight. Over 300,000 people took the opportunity to visit various museums free of charge and to be inspired by the cultural offers. No matter whether art, technology or history - the event offered something for every taste.
It should be emphasized that 307,846 visitors, from all age groups, made their way to the museums. The numerous art and cultural institutions created an attractive incentive that motivated people to leave their home. The majority of the audience moved to Vienna, which recorded most visitors by far.

A total of 151,439 people were traveling in the open museums in the federal capital. Styria followed with 38,418, while Carinthia took third place with 27,050. The interest in this special event was noticeable nationwide, which is also reflected in the numbers:
