Cottageroasters: New coffee house in Vienna - a pleasure for Smacht lovers

An exciting reopening is imminent: The traditional Viennese coffee house Diglas brings a new attraction for coffee lovers with the "Cottageroasters in the small Diglas". From December, the coffee site on the meat market will become a modern meeting point for all those who are enthusiastic about specialty coffee. Guests can look forward to an exquisite selection of coffee drinks from the Cottageroaster roastery, supplemented by delicious pastries from their own bakery and fine snacks.

The operators, Elisabeth and Markus Schneider-Diglas, have spared no effort to transform the restaurant into an inviting ambience. "We want every visit to become an unforgettable coffee experience with us," the two explain. The cozy café, known as the "small Diglas", receives a friendly update with new lighting and comfortable seating. The reopening is planned for December 3.

The art of roasting

An important aspect of the new café is the in-house coffee roar. Markus Schneider-Diglas has had its own roasting location in the 18th Viennese district since 2022, where he regularly refined fresh coffee beans. "We offer a modern medium of Roast, which is significantly milder than the classic Italian roasts, but has a full aroma and special character," said the two owners. When choosing the beans, you attach great importance to the perfect balance of acid and taste-supported by a talented barista team that works on one of the most advanced coffee machines.

The Specialty-Coffees promise an incomparable taste profile that is inspired by the origin of the beans. The baristas use the Black Eagle Maverick, a state -of -the -art machine that is also used in competitions, such as the SCA Austria Coffee Championship.

combination of enjoyment and tradition

In addition to the exquisite coffee selection, the new café also delights with homemade pastries that reflect the Viennese coffee culture. "There is something for every taste: from Sachertorte to fruity nut sprinkled tart to the classic apple strudel," says Elisabeth Schneider-Diglas, describing the careful selection. In addition, hearty snacks such as roast beef and vegetarian baguettes are on offer, supplemented by selected organic drinks.

At the opening of the ceremony, the operators expect their guests with particularly attractive offers. On the occasion of Diglas's 150th anniversary, the first 150 visitors receive their espresso for only 1.50 euros. In addition, tastings and live demonstrations are planned that will offer deeper insights into the world of coffee preparation.

"We can hardly wait to welcome our guests in the 'Cottageroasters in the little Diglas' and to offer them an unforgettable experience full of pleasure and quality," summarizes Markus Schneider-Diglas. This new opening represents an exciting step in the further development of the Viennese coffee house culture and will certainly attract many coffee fans.
