U1 fire in Vienna: Chaos in the public network and injured among employees

On Tuesday evening, a dramatic incident occurred in the subway network in Vienna when a fire broke out in a set of line U1. The fire occurred in a special train during the journey for an unknown cause and led to a massive use of the fire brigade and a disorder of public transport.

Although luckily there were no passengers on board, six employees of the Viennese lines suffered minor injuries.
