City Park Vienna: A new center for sustainability and business in Liesing
In Liesing, City Park Vienna has opened its doors on Brunner Strasse. The commercial and logistics park extends over a whopping 110,000 square meters and has already offered space for several companies, a positive sign of economic development in the region.
The park had been in operation for about a year, but the final completion of the last three buildings only took place this year. During a tour of the City Councilor Peter Hanke (SPÖ), visitors were given the opportunity to convince themselves of the size and possibilities of the area. On the roof of the parking garage, they were able to take a look at the impressive infrastructure that not only offers large storage areas but also office units.
work in City Park
Andreas Liebsch, managing director of "Go Asset Development", emphasizes how advantageous the flexible uses for companies are. "Our strategy was successful: the business park is almost completely rented out with components 3, 4 and 5 and houses well -known companies such as cargoe who will move their headquarters to Liesing after completion," he said. The park currently has an occupancy rate of 80 percent and Liebsch is optimistic that all areas will soon be rented.
In addition, large companies such as the Austrian Post and the ÖBB have already rented areas in City Park. Viktoria Hartl from Nuveen Management Austria, the owner of the park, explained that companies can find individual solutions for their office space, which increases the attractiveness of the location.
sustainable construction and environmental protection
A central topic at City Park Vienna is sustainability. The office and indoor areas are equipped with innovative heating and cooling systems based on geothermal energy and heat pumps. This enables an almost self -sufficient energy system. E-charging stations for electric vehicles are also provided.
The park is lined with numerous trees and green roofs, which not only contributes to the attractiveness, but is also an important step towards climate protection. "The use of renewable resources attracts companies, creates jobs and makes a contribution to a modern economic area," emphasized Peter Hanke during his tour.
The district of Liesing, which offers 60,000 jobs anyway, is thus further upgraded by the almost CO₂-neutral business park. District head Gerald Bischof (SPÖ) found that the park shows an example of how economic development and environmental protection can go hand in hand. This is not only important for Liesing, but for the entire region.
