At the recent district conference of Kinderfreunde Hietzing there was a change at the top. 30-year-old Stefan Langthaler was unanimously elected as the new chairman. This is a significant step for the association, which, as part of the Vienna Children's Friends, offers a wide range of services for families with over 2,200 full-time and more than 2,000 volunteer employees in 23 districts.
The children's friends attach particular importance to thisPromoting children's rights, combating violence and child poverty and supporting disadvantaged families. The offerings include kindergartens, holiday care, leisure activities and numerous events that give children and their families the opportunity to actively participate in life and develop further.
Unanimous decision
Stefan Langthaler is following in the footsteps of Reinhard Feistritzer, who passed away after more than 30 years as chairman and more than 50 years of volunteer work. His achievements were recognized at the conference, as were those of Treasurer Josef Zlesak, who was recognized for his many years of service.
The deputy district manager Marcel Höckner, who has been a part of the Kinderfreunde since his childhood, was grateful for the work of the outgoing officials. He wished the new team much success in the challenges ahead.
