Romantic sounds and contemplative words: concerts in Hietzing
In the Hietzing district, there are still two special cultural events on the program that music lovers should not miss. The new Hietzing culture series brings interesting sounds to the region, launched by the British pianist and conductor Huw Rhys James and the Austrian singer Anna-Maria Birnbauer.
The series has already started with some concerts and now offers two more highlights at the end of the year. On Monday, November 25th, a duo evening will take place in the ballroom of the Amtshaus at 7.30 p.m. On this evening, visitors can go on a musical journey through some of the 表现 Endest works of romance, with compositions by Dvořák, Brahms and Grieg. The two musicians, Maria Kubizek on the violin and Huw Rhys James on the piano, will inspire their viewers with lively and expressive performances.
Advent concert with festive sounds
Another highlight will be the Advent concert on Sunday, December 8th, at 7.30 p.m. in the Maria Hietzing church, 1st. Under the title "Ceremony of Carols", great works by well -known composers such as Benjamin Britten, Felix Mendelssohn, Francis Poulenc and Sergei Rachmaninoff are on the program. The vocal ensemble Musica Poetica Vienna is supported by the talented Harfinist Ursula Fatton.
It becomes particularly festive by the Hietzinger actor Cornelius Obonya, who will lead through the evening as a spokesman. During the performance, he will recite poems and texts at Christmas time, which should offer guests a particularly atmospheric atmosphere.
Entry to both events is free, but donations are gladly received for the artists. Tickets can be reserved on 0676/522 36 68 or by email to musicapoeticawien@gmail.com.
The Hietzing cultural series thus uses a nice accent in the run -up to Christmas and invites everyone interested to be enchanted by the music.
