Free flu vaccinations in Vienna: Start on November 4th

From Monday, November 4, the Viennese have the opportunity to be vaccinated free of charge for flu. The city of Vienna starts a comprehensive vaccination campaign that takes place both at fixed vaccination centers and through mobile actions in various districts.

A total of around 250,000 vaccine boxes are available for the population, 85,000 of which are provided in the three central vaccination centers. These are localized in ToWntown (3rd, Thomas-Klestil-Platz 8/2), on Schrödingerplatz (22nd, Schrödingerplatz 1) and in Gasgasse 8–10 in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus.

In addition to the central vaccination campaign, the city is planning 42 mobile vaccination campaigns by the end of January. These are directed not only against the flu, but also against HIV, with the HIV vaccination for people up to their 30th birthday free of charge. The first mobile vaccination dates are scheduled for the period from November 4th to 7th, daily from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the FEM Med Med Health Center at Reumannplatz 7. Further dates are planned in the district manager Favoriten at Keplerplatz 5 and in the district head Leopoldstadt in Karmelitergasse 9.

The vaccination centers and the mobile vaccination campaigns can all be booked online at www.impfservice.wien or by phone via the health telephone 1450. The e-card, the vaccination pass and a photo ID card should be brought for the vaccination. It should be noted that small children under the age of 6 cannot be vaccinated.
