On Friday, November 8th, Hernals turned into a magical sea of lights when the traditional lantern parade to St. Martin took place. At this colorful event, hundreds of people with their lanterns passed through the streets of the 17th Vienna municipal district. The festival was organized by several local institutions, including the Vienna Aid Agency Neighborhood Center 17, the district head, the Volkshilfe and the Liebvaigen Kulturverein. It should be a feast of community and sharing, and that was implemented impressively.

Around 1,000 participants gathered to move through the Grätzl together. The lanterns shone in the dark and created a friendly atmosphere.
