Run for Cancer Research 2024: Collect kilometers for a good cause

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, the annual run and walk for cancer research takes place. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as many kilometers as possible, either on site at the old AKH in Vienna or virtually in one place in your own choice. The participants also have the option of collecting kilometers over the Adidas Running app in advance, which are converted into money for cancer research.

A target of 45,000 kilometers was set for this year, which symbolizes the daily number of new cancer diagnoses. The middle castle extreme walker Werner Achs, which was suffering from cancer even, collected its kilometers on Thursday in North-Burgenland. Between wind turbines and vineyards, he covered a distance of 21.45 kilometers, fully after the four hours of specifications. The route led him from the Gols Volksfest area to the Baroque Castle Halbthurn and back.
