Sweet corner: New owners ensure a fresh air and Christmas magic!

in Vienna, strictly speaking in the Alsergrund, is a popular culinary arrival back on the scene: the "sweet corner". After a short summer break, the traditional confectionery again opens its doors and the new owners, Raphaela Mastella and Nicole Heinrich, share their first impressions. "It is great that this restaurant still exists," says the busy successors who took over the management of the "Sweet Eck" almost three months ago.

For just over a month, the Viennese can now enjoy the delicacies of the confectionery again. After the takeover, which was carried out in the range without major changes, the rush in the small business is remarkable. "We have seen no reason to change a lot. Many customers even ask us whether their favorite goods are still there," explains Mastella. The classics are still a big hit and business is going well.

The new owners pay particular attention to the previous owners Gabriele and Michael Kornherr. "The Kornherrs have made an excellent selection over the years, which made it easier for us to get started," said Mastella. After a short familiarization period, which is now almost completed, the two ladies are already aiming at the upcoming Christmas preparations. "We have already received the first orders," she reveals. Among other things, this includes Advent calendar with different fillings - in addition to classic chocolate calendars, also one with liquorice. In addition, chocolate icons and Christmas tree decoration are offered.

If you look into the future, an extension of the range is not excluded. The owners plan to take part in the international confectionery fair in Cologne in February of next year. "We are determined to continue the tradition of the 'sweet corner' and build on the offer," said Mastella.

The opening times have not changed: the shop at Währinger Straße 65 is open on Mondays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Further information, including an online shop, is available at www.suesseseck.at . So the pleasure and tradition remains alive, and the passion for sweets will continue to be maintained.

noted by the way, there are interesting developments in the district, such as the diverse teaching opportunities in the Schauspielhaus and current discussions about security at the district council meetings.
