Easter magic in Vienna: creative market for good causes attracts families!

Attentive seekers of extravagant Easter gifts will have the unique opportunity to browse for individual handicrafts at the VinziRast Easter market in Vienna on April 5th and 6th, 2025. Unique products such as bags, trays, aprons, jewelry and wooden toys are offered here, which were creatively made by people in the asylum process as part of the VinziRast-Chance project. At Währingerstraße 19, 1090 Vienna, visitors can browse and buy on both days from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., while participants in this initiative experience a fixed daily structure through German lessons and craft activities oe24 reports.

In addition to the market, a creative Easter campaign is taking place in the VinziRast restaurant “mittendrin” that appeals to both children and families. The focus here is on baking Easter cookies and making colorful decorations from upcycled materials. Participation costs 20 euros and goes directly to supporting VinziRast. Registration is requested for the activities and those interested can contact Elena Osenstetter by email at e.osenstetter@vinzirast.at. The restaurant will be open during the Easter market and offers high-quality Easter dishes as well as special drinks, such as VinziRast notes.

Unique products and creative promotions

The VinziRast-Chance project offers refugees who are still in the asylum process a valuable opportunity for personal and creative development. In addition to German lessons in small groups, participants can learn and expand their craft skills in various workrooms. A large part of the work is done with recycled materials, which makes the unique pieces not only sustainable, but also special. The initiative not only aims to achieve small financial successes, but also to promote intercultural encounters and a stable daily structure.
