Free language workshops for Viennese schools: Register now!

On December 4, 2024, an exciting project was launched in Vienna that offers young people the opportunity to learn new languages in an unconventional way. Language trainers from the language center come to school classes in Vienna and offer free taster workshops in various languages, including English, Spanish, Japanese and many more, for students aged 16 and over. The initiative emphasizes the importance of human contact in language learning, even at a time when AI translation systems and language learning apps are popular OTS reports.

In addition to these workshops, another initiative shows how language skills can also benefit young people in a professional environment. ESL, a language course provider, combines language lessons with internship opportunities that not only improve language skills but also provide valuable international experience. Participants can choose between internships abroad or even digital internships, which are becoming increasingly popular with the increase in remote jobs. These experiences are not only beneficial for your CV, but also help you develop self-confidence and intercultural skills ESL describes in detail.

Language learning in a practical context

Learning a language is significantly enriched by practical experience. Language courses paired with various types of internships, be it paid jobs or volunteer work, enable participants to test and deepen their language skills in real-life situations. This not only leads to faster learning, but also to intensive immersion in the respective culture, which authentically consolidates language skills.
