financing and participation
A total of 12,000 euros are available for the projects, with each district assigning an amount of 3,000 euros. Last year, 19 projects have already benefited from this budget that strengthened the cooperation in the neighborhoods. Like dfz21.at , Vice Mayor Kathrin Gaál thanked the winner of the "neighboring treasure" Daniel Wieser for his numerous initiatives. He is the organizer of the first Donaufeld sports festival, which takes place in autumn 2024 and offers varied offers such as tennis, table tennis and beach volleyball.
As part of the last funding, a total of 19 neighborhood ideas were selected. The projects not only include sporting activities, but also cultural events such as puppet theater as well as community offers such as an inclusive snack in the Simmeringer Hyblerpark and a flea market in Stadlau. These ideas came directly from the neighborhood and were selected by the Grätzlrat.
neighborhood initiatives in Vienna
neighborhood initiatives are an integral part of the community. They promote cohesion and quality of life in the respective districts. The peculiarity of the Viennese initiatives lies in the active integration of the residents in decision -making processes, as the example shows. Citizens have the opportunity to bring in their wishes and visions. This is supported by various events, meetings and projects to create a room for dialogue. According to uses place of use.
However, these neighborhood initiatives also face challenges. This includes the motivation of the participants, the organization of the offers and the long -term securing of the projects. Despite these difficulties, they contribute significantly to improve living together and quality of life in the communities. With the initiative "neighboring treasure", another step towards active citizen participation is dared to make the habitats in Vienna more lively and varied. Information on the individual projects is provided on the area support website.
