In a shattering case from Vienna, several investigations against guys have been hired that are suspected of having sexually abused a 12-year-old. According to the courier, the procedures were hired against five young people. The public prosecutor justified this step by the fact that the deeds are not threatened with a judicial punishment or that further persecution was not permitted for legal reasons. Two of the accused were not 14 years old at the time of the crime and were therefore impossible for punishment, as Kosmo reported.

The incidents that occurred in Vienna between March and June 2023 are of great scope. While the exact circumstances and times of the attacks can no longer be determined, ten other male young people are investigated, which are also accused of having misused and raped the girl several times for months. Two alleged perpetrators have already been acquitted-a 16-year-old in December 2024 and a 17-year-old in January 2025, as the Kurier reported. These developments raise drastic questions about the legal handling of such acts.

The Vienna public prosecutor also found that the incidents concern the suspicion of violation of sexual self -determination and severe sexual abuse of underage. It remains to be seen how the investigation against the remaining suspects will develop, while the public urges answers to understand the full extent of this shattering case.
