Change in the Obersdorf winegrowing club: Leonhard Holzer takes the lead
Obersdorf, Österreich - The Wine Construction Association Obersdorf has experienced a spectacular change of management: Leonhard Holzer, operator of the organic wine gut Holzer, takes over the position of the chairman. He replaces Josef Wallner, who worked in this role for eight years and previously acted as a deputy for many years. With Thomas Mauser from the Mauser winery, Holzer also receives a committed deputy at his side, which indicates a breath of fresh air in the club management, such as Noen reported.
These changes are not only important for the members of the winegrowing association, but also link to the goals of the local action group (LAG) leader. This initiative, supported by the European Union, aims to promote rural regions through active participation in the population. In Obersdorf, citizens from all areas of life develop strategies for the sustainable development of the region; Viticulture also plays a central role here. The LAG relies on a “Bottom Up” model in which the local population is actively involved in the development processes. This is done in close cooperation with the project selection committee (PAG), which evaluates the projects according to precise criteria and decides on funding, as is explained on Leaderregion
