New construction of the Ramsau elementary school: a milestone for the community

After the long -awaited moment has finally come, the citizens of Ramsau are happy about the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new elementary school. Mayor Friedrich Steiner, together with the municipal council and the school management, worked together on the implementation of this important project, which was characterized by numerous hurdles. The construction sum is estimated at around 8.5 million euros, which underlines the dimension and the importance of this investment.

Originally, the renovation of the old school building was up for discussion. But after careful consideration, these plans were rejected. Mayor Steiner said that there were always problems with water in the basement, which is not surprising given the local conditions. Therefore, they decided to build a new, sub -cellar building. Another step was the successful ideas competition, which was won by the Innsbruck architecture firm Bernhard Schwaighofer.

More space for students and community

The construction preparations are already underway, and the companies Z-Bau and Bodner are responsible for the shell. The municipality also bought 1,500 square meters for the new school building. There are a total of six classrooms, a gymnasium and a trial room for the Federal Music Chapel Ramsau. Chairman Lukas Pfister and Kapellmeister Christoph Daigl are equally enthusiastic about the new premises that will benefit the musical training of children and young people.

A transition quarters for the students at Lebenshilfe Ramsau are currently set up, so that the school children are securely accommodated during the construction period. The completion of the new school building is planned for May/June 2026, with an official reference skills in September 2026 to ensure an orderly transition.
