On May 25, 2025, the players and fans of SV Ried celebrated a historic moment when they were allowed to accept the master trophy of the 2nd league after a dramatic season finale. The championship title was secured after a 1-1 draw against the Vienna, which came about despite numerous injuries to the team, including Ante Bajic, Philipp Pomer, Wilfried Eza and David Bumberger. The coach was available for just ten players during the first half, as the regulation of a maximum of three changes required this per half. Nevertheless, the decisive goal was hit by Michael Sollbauer in the 60th minute, followed by a late compensation by Bernhard Luxbacher in the 88th minute.
The backdrop was terrific: over 7100 fans gathered in the stadium to celebrate their team. The stadium gates opened at 7:30 p.m. and the cheering followers enthusiastically stormed the lawn. Christian Ebenbauer, board member of the Bundesliga, ceremoniously presented the trophy. In this festive atmosphere, captain Andreas Leitner were honored as "goalkeeper of the season" and Mark Giovanni Grosse as "player of the season". Among the prominent guests were LASK-EDELFAN Markus Achleitner and the governor of Upper Austria, Thomas Stelzer. Ried city chief Bernhard Zwielehner said positively about the Bundesliga, which now includes three Upper Austrian clubs.

The promotion to the highest Austrian football league, which has been operating as an Admiral Bundesliga since the 2021/22 season, marks a significant turning point for Ried. The team returns after last season 2022/23, playing under coach Maximilian Senft. With an impressive 4: 1 away win against black and white Bregenz, Ried secured the championship title in the penultimate round of the season. At the same time, after a defeat against FC Liefering, the pursuer Admira could no longer catch up, which finally sealed the rise of the Rieder.
