New discount store in Bregenz: Action takes over the former Hervis store!

Preparations for the opening of the new Action discounter in Bregenz, which will be located in the former Hervis store in the Uniqa Center, are in full swing. According to information from VOL.AT Action has already moved in as a tenant and is expected to welcome its first customers in the first quarter of 2025, although an exact opening date has not yet been set. According to rumors, it could be March 6, a date that has not been officially confirmed and is considered unlikely, as Raphael Kiene of Raiffeisen Landesbank explains. The logos of the closing sports store are currently still adorning the facade while the interior work is progressing.

New location, new opportunities

The closure of the Hervis location, which will take place at the end of November, has already caused a lot of talk. How HeadTopics reported that planning for a successor has progressed quickly. Dutch discounter Action has signaled interest in taking over the space, which would further drive the company's expansion in Vorarlberg. Action would be represented in both the lower and upper regions, which could offer customers in the region new shopping opportunities. The official closure of Hervis is set for January 31st.

Action's Vorarlberg branches, including existing locations in Hard and a new opening in Bürs, indicate that the discounter is expanding strategically to increase its customer base.
