After this violent act, the robber did not let up and began to pursue the fleeing robber. However, when he realized that he was being overtaken, he pulled out a knife and stabbed the pursuer at least once. Fortunately, the victim was uninjured, but the 19-year-old's clothing was damaged.

After the incident, the 20-year-old continued to flee, but thanks to an extensive manhunt involving numerous patrols and even a police helicopter, he was ultimately arrested at 7 p.m. in the city of Bregenz. The manhunt was initiated by the local police authorities and quickly attracted public interest, as the presence of a police helicopter attracted the attention of many passers-by.
The investigators then carried out a house search, during which the stolen cell phone and the knife used were recovered. During the interrogation, the 20-year-old partially admitted to the allegations and was taken into custody.
