The first snow has already covered the ground and the festive mood of the upcoming Christmas season is spreading. A very special event is imminent: the Christmas tree in front of the country house in Bregenz. Every year this tree is made available by another Vorarlberg community, and this year Bludenz can look forward to honor.

The city of Bludenz donated an impressive Serbian spruce with a height of 11.5 meters. This magnificent tree species was previously near the Igel kindergarten in Bludenz, where it felled by the municipal forestry office and was transported to Bregenz. Originally, the tree should have been felled because it had gotten too large at its location in the urban area.

The solemn lighting of the Christmas tree will take place on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 5 p.m. In a solemn setting, in the presence of the Vorarlberg state government, the lights of the tree will shine. A special highlight are the kindergarten children from the IGEL kindergarten, which will accompany the festive occasion musically. On these days, the little bludes have the opportunity to present their voice and talent, which is an exciting experience for them.

As early as the tree falls on November 21, the children were able to observe from a safe distance how the impressive tree was brought to the ground. This was an unexpected and exciting experience for the children that they will not forget so quickly.

On November 28, the children can then step onto the big stage and present some songs that they rehearsed with their teachers as part of their preparations. The anticipation among the children is great and they are ready to enrich the celebrations in Bregenz with their music.
