Villach is transformed: The big ceramic market will start soon!

The city of Villach is preparing for a special highlight in the event calendar: The annual ceramic market opens its gates over four days and invites visitors to discover the many facets of the ceramic craft. From 25 to June 28, 2025, around 30 selected ceramists from home and abroad will present themselves in the old town. The market combines traditional craft with contemporary art and offers a high -quality selection of ceramic products.

The products exhibited include not only dishes and sculptures, but also jewelry and musical instruments made of ceramic. The variety ranges from artistic vessels to garden ceramics to modern decorative objects. Pierre Bechler, managing director of the city marketing, highlights the special atmosphere of the market, which attracts numerous visitors every year. The market is now considered a popular event in the city's early summer and attracts people interested in art from near and far.

Various offer and creative workshops

The ceramic market extends over several venues, including the Rathausplatz and the upper and lower church square. Villach is proud to maintain the traditional invitation to ceramists from all over Europe since 1990. In addition to the ceramic market, the handicraft market will soon take place in Villach, which will be held from August 29 to 31, 2024.
