Österreich, Land - The 74th edition of the Austria cycling tour, which takes place from July 9th to 13th, promises a top-class field of participants. A total of 20 teams, including seven UCI WorldTeams, will start. Fans are looking forward to the achievements of Alpecin-Deceuninck (BEL), Lidl-Trek (USA), Team Jayco Alula (from), Ineos Grenadiers (GbR), EF Education-Easypost (USA), XDS Astana Team (KAZ) and UAE Team Emirates-XRG, as from Laola1 . Tour director Thomas Pupp emphasized that the occupation of the races before the Tour de France in early July is not yet determined, which means that some domestic talents such as Tobias Bayer and Michael Gogl from Alpecin as well as Patrick Konrad and Paul Verbnjak from Lidl Trek could be at the start.
A highlight will be the defending champion Diego Ulissi from the XDS Astana Team, whose participation is already secure. Ulissi has made an excellent name with his eight stage wins at Giro di Italia. "We will arrive with the last year's winner, which is the only fixed driver," said Helmut Dollinger, a member of the Astana coaching team. This event takes place in a context that is characterized by the tragic condolence trip of the previous year when the tour ended in 2024 after the death of the Norwegian cyclist André Drege.

The 2025 season has a variety of significant races for the teams, including the prestigious events such as Paris-Nice, Tirreno-Adracico and the Tour de France. XDS Astana has a strong line -up with drivers such as Vinokurov, Champousousse and Tejada who hope for success.
