Economic challenges and optimism: Plansee Group in focus
The Plansee Group company is fighting with several economic challenges that were discussed at the last anniversary ceremony. CEO Karlheinz Wex spoke about the worrying developments in global competitiveness. In an analysis by the Swiss management institute IMD, Austria fell from 15th to 26th to 26th place in the past five years. This development illustrates the difficulties with which domestic companies are confronted.
WEX expressed his concerns about the existing tax system, which forces many employees to switch to part -time models. He also criticized the increasing bureaucracy, which is heavily burdened and referred to as "bureaucracy burnout". The weak economy, especially in the automotive industry, is a considerable concern. There are also lack of growth impulses in key sectors such as mechanical engineering and medical technology.
Future -oriented strategies
To meet these challenges, Plansee Group plans to expand its global presence. Special investments are made in locations in the USA, China and India. At the same time, immense funds flow into the European production facilities, especially in Breitenwang/Reutte, where 50 million euros are invested in plants and infrastructure in this financial year.
An innovative project of the Plansee Group is to build a hydrogen electrolysis system. This is intended to reduce the company's CO2 footprint by 40 percent. Wex encouraged the employees not to lose optimism: "There are challenges to be solved, and Plansee has proven in many years that we are able to do so. Every crisis also offers opportunities."
The honor of the 134 anniversaries, including 28 years of service and 15 years of service, was very well received. In this ceremony, the employees were given thanks to their loyalty and commitment. Wex concluded his speech with the words of recognition for the daily work and the tireless efforts of the employees in order to successfully keep the Plansee Group and Ceratizit in the global markets.
