Claudia Lutz, a 58-year-old woman from Reutte, is looking forward to an exciting new chapter in her life: a one-year trip around the world that begins in early December. This trip is not a spontaneous decision for you, but the result of careful planning. She describes it as her "journey of life", which she will compete with with great anticipation after a long preparation.
to realize her dream, Claudia took extensive measures. She quit her large apartment and moved to a more modest home to save costs. "I sold or given away many of my furniture because I no longer have the same place in the small apartment," she explains. Although the changeover was challenging at the beginning, it has received the minimalist lifestyle positively and perceives it as liberating.
a return to the roots
The Brazilian -born found a new home in Reutte in 1996 after coming to Germany in the early 90s. Her first goal on this big trip will be Brazil, where she spent her childhood and has many relatives. "I look forward to meeting friends and neighbors," says Claudia and adds that this trip is also a return to your roots.
From Brazil she will visit other countries in South America, including Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Venezuela. Then she plans to travel to Canada and the United States as well as to explore Asia and Africa, especially Tanzania, where her daughter has a project.
Claudia has provided both friends and cheaper accommodations for accommodation because she does not want to travel to luxury. "It should be a simple journey," she explains. For a year and a half she has been physically prepared for her journey and trained to be fit for the different challenges.

An important aspect of the trip is that Claudia wants to keep in touch with her three adult children. "You should always know where I am and what I do," she emphasizes. This decision was not easy; The past few years have been shaped by challenges, including illness and the sudden loss of a friend. However, they motivated these setbacks to actively change their lives.
The support of her employer helped her to realize this dream. Claudia emphasizes that she was advised by the travel clerk Alexandra Pede. The packing process is almost complete; Your backpack is filled with the necessary things such as hiking shoes, a camera and a diary.
Although Claudia is certain that the trip will bring significant emotions, she is not afraid. "I let everything come to me," she says optimistically. The final preparations, such as parking your car with a friend and organizing important utensils, are almost complete. She is ready for the adventure of her life and is looking forward to getting to know new people, cultures and countries.
