The popular cooking series “Now it’s going to be good” returns with an exciting fourth season. This entertaining and educational series, which began six years ago, brings a breath of fresh air into the kitchen. Presented by Oliver Deutsch, an innovative chef who is also a musician and artist, this season will offer more than just food - here culinary and music combine to create a special experience!

Oliver Deutsch brings his unique passion for the kitchen to the concept of “Silent Cooking”. This means that viewers can not only witness the cooking process, but also listen to relaxing music. This method allows viewers to concentrate fully on the preparation of the dishes and be carried away by the creative atmosphere. The first episode of the new season shows a special dish: buckwheat gnocchi with porcini mushrooms and curried vegetables. It is a simple but at the same time delicious dish that impresses with its subtle exoticism.

The special thing about the preparation

The filming took place in the DAN-Küchen Megastore in East Tyrol, where both the ingredients and the equipment were provided. The ingredients for the dish were purchased at Interspar in Nußdorf-Debant, while the pots and pans came from the Emil Wassermann range, a well-known supplier in Lienz. This underlines the local connection and appreciation for local products and materials.

Special ingredients are used to prepare the buckwheat gnocchi. To make the dough you need floury potatoes, buckwheat flour and a few other ingredients such as curd and egg yolk. A variety of fresh ingredients are also used to prepare the curry vegetables, including vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli and porcini mushrooms. The combination of coconut milk and lime gives the dish a fresh note that goes perfectly with the gnocchi.

Here is a brief summary of the ingredients:

  • Gnocchiteig: Erdäpfel, Buchweizenmehl, Topfen, Eigelb, Maizena, Salz, Kurkuma
  • Currygemüse: Zwiebel, Knoblauch, Ingwer, Karfiol, Brokkoli, Steinpilze, Créme Fraiche, Kokosmilch, Limette

During preparation, the potatoes are first boiled and then processed into a fine dough, which then has to rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the curried vegetables are prepared by frying the onion and garlic in a pan, followed by the remaining vegetables and spices. For the final flavor, the gnocchi and curried vegetables come together before the dish is served. A thoughtful recipe that pleases both the taste buds and the eyes!

The first episode of this season promises not only delicious recipes, but also an unforgettable visual treat. The new concept of “Silent Cooking” not only promotes relaxation, but also creativity when cooking, and is intended to encourage viewers to try out new cooking techniques.
