HLW Lienz introduces transparency in community catering

In a remarkable initiative to improve the quality of the food, HLW Lienz recently received an important certificate. This educational institution promotes transparency in community catering and was awarded for this. On a voluntary basis, the school restaurant has undergone a thorough test process and can now proudly present the certificate "Good to know".

The guarantee of quality in nutrition is more important than ever, especially in the school environment. Since September 2023, the community catering has had to be made for food for food such as meat, milk and eggs. With the certificate of the Austria Chamber of Agriculture, HLW Lienz will give the guests of HLW Lienz a transparent information about the food used in the bistro. In this way, the pupils, as well as their families, can make informed and conscious decisions about their meals.

a step towards sustainability

The HLW Lienz stands out as one of the few schools in Tyrol that actively works on promoting regional and sustainable products. This corporate culture is reflected in the endeavor to raise awareness of healthy eating and to promote responsible pleasure. The school management emphasizes that "transparency and regionality are not empty promises for us, but is lived". This commitment to quality and regionality could be exemplary for other schools in the region.

The commitment of the HLW Lienz for higher standards in community catering shows that educational institutions can play an active role in the design of a more conscious eating behavior. The decision to qualify for the certificate "to know well" serves not only the immediate benefits of the students, but also as a model for other institutions. This measure promotes an environment in which healthy and sustainable nutrition are standard.
