Triumphant shooters from Landeck at the Austrian state championship

The Austrian State Championship in the Feuerpistole discipline took place from August 28 to September 1, 2024 in Linz. This event marked the highlight of the 2024 fire pistol season, in which shooters from all over the country competed against each other in various disciplines and age groups. The competitions were held over four days.

From the Landeck district, several talented shooters were appointed to the Tyrolean squad: Seifert Petra, Seifert Tobias, Mallaun Stefan and Neuner Marco. These athletes had previously convinced with their impressive performance during the season and were able to compete in Linz.

Seifert Tobias, who started in the men's class, was able to look forward to a bronze medal with the free pistol, which he won at 50 meters in a competition. Furthermore, he also achieved the bronze medal in the team with Tirol 1.

Marco Neuner was also very successful: in the senior 1 class with the free pistol he won the bronze medal in the team and repeated this success with Team Tirol 2 in the sports pistol discipline. Another highlight for him was the winning of the gold medal with the Team Tirol 1 in the standard pistol discipline, which is shot at 25 meters.

Seifert Petra landed in the 5th place in the free pistol and took 17th place in the sports pistol. In the team ranking, she reached the 5th place and in the mixed competition. Her brother, Tobias Seifert, was able to achieve 6th place in the mixed competition in addition to his individual bronze medal.

Mallaun Stefan, on the other hand, had a little less success, with a 24th place in the sports gun and 11th place in the free pistol. In the team classification, he and his team took the 6th place. In front of him, Marco Neuner was able to create 9th place in the standard pistol and landed with his teams in ranks 1, 3 and 3 in different disciplines.

The success of the shooters from the Landeck district on the national level show the high level of shooting sports in the region and the continuous promotion of young talents, especially through the support of the Tyrolean State Rifle Association, which sent these shooters to the championship.
