In Kirchbichl, investments are being made in the future of childcare. The municipality has acquired a property to create a comprehensive offer for families that include various facilities such as Horte, Cribs and kindergartens.

This project is a matter close to the heart of the mayor Herbert Rieder. "We deliberately selected the property near the elementary school to create a central point of contact for education and support," he said. In the coming years, different opportunities for early childhood education are to be created on this area that meet the needs of parents and children.

The concrete concept for using the property has not yet been determined. However, Rieder makes it clear that there will definitely be offers for children. The municipality plans to first carry out a needs analysis to determine which facilities are actually used. The area of ​​after -school children is currently used as a playground, but the potential is enormous and the vision extends over several years.

A central component of the project will be an architectural competition that is expected to take place next year. "We do not want to act briskly, but plan on the basis of well -founded surveys. Perhaps we can collect further ideas in the second half of the year," continued Rieder. The municipality expects an investment of around eight to ten million euros to implement the plans.

First measures already implemented

A first step in this direction is the newly opened day care center in the elementary school, which offers space for a group. This is well received, and with increasing number of registrations, a second group could be set up in the coming year. For the children, this means short distances and support that seamlessly ties in with everyday school life. A crèche is also currently operated by an association to meet the needs of the little ones.

In addition, a two -group kindergarten will be opened in Bruckhäusl in the coming year. These initiatives show that the municipality of Kirchbichl is determined to take the care of the youngest seriously and to expand it continuously.
