Modern parking in Kufstein: camera system for fishing gravel from November

KUFSTEIN - From November 7, 2024, the Fischergries car park in front of the Kufstein Arena will be equipped with an innovative camera -based parking system. This system is intended to make the parking process considerably easier by avoiding barriers and conventional paper tickets. Instead, the license plate of the vehicle is recorded at the entrance, which should enable rapid processing.

with a total of 167 parking spaces, including 6 especially for camper, the parking lot remains large. The monitoring of entrance and exit is automated, which avoids long waiting times. To facilitate the payment, two parking machines are available: one accepts both card payment and coins, while the other only accepts card payments.

functioning of the new system

The new technology records the license plate when entering and therefore registers the start of the parking process. Before the exit, the license plate must be entered at the machine to pay the fees. The use of common park apps such as Easypark and Parkster is also supported. An important detail for later users: If you leave without prior payment, an increased fee is calculated to ensure that the parking lot regulations are observed.

The division manager of Avantpark, Daniel Morgenbesser, was positive about the innovation: "Our innovative digital and barrier parking management with 24/7 functionality prevents backlogs and offers comfort and environmental friendliness for all parking space users: Inside." This environmentally friendly approach should not only simplify the search for parking space for drivers, but also contribute to reducing emissions by avoiding long searches.

The tariffs that come into force from November 7, 2024 stipulate that the first 60 minutes are free of charge. Every further hour is charged at 1.00 euros. A daily fee of 15.00 euros is due for a stay of more than 9 hours, while a permanent parking card costs 37.00 euros per month. These new prices should help to manage the parking space in Kufstein more efficiently and at the same time meet the needs of users.
