On November 4, 2024 at 6 p.m., a special film screening will take place in Landhaus 1 in Innsbruck: "The diary of Diana B." This documentary film focuses on the impressive activities of Diana Budisavljević-Obexer, who saved over 10,000 children from death in concentration camps during the Second World War. The event, which is organized by the Tyrolean state government in cooperation with the Innsbruck Leokino, is open to the public, but prior registration is required.

Diana Budisavljević, native of Innsbruck and married to the Serbian doctor Julyje Budisavljević in 1917, tirelessly campaigned for the rescue of Jewish and other endangered children in the 1940s. Her brave commitment was reflected in diary entries that were found after her death and now form the basis of the film. The urgent pictures from this time are complemented by game scenes and interviews with survivors and impressively convey the urgency and the courage that Diana Budisavljević showed.
