Gleisdorf celebrates shopping experience and carnival start in a festive atmosphere

On November 8, the city center of Gleisdorf experienced a special evening when the annual shopping night took place. This event attracted numerous visitors from the entire region who enjoyed exclusive shopping and cultural performances. Around 50 companies took part in this event, which also marked the beginning of the carnival season with a festive ceremony.

from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. the center turned into a true paradise for shopping enthusiasts. The participating business had made every effort to present their offers particularly attractive. Customers could not only enjoy exclusive discounts, but also received a stylish shopping bag in autumn cognac tone. The atmospheric lighting and the happy atmosphere contributed to an unforgettable experience.

The program included a wide range of cultural offers. Street artists, such as the entertaining "agents" John Black and Don White, provided laughter and interactions with their jokes. In the middle of the event, the dance group "New Rock Generation" delighted the audience with impressive choreographies and impressive energy.

The guests can look forward to culinary highlights that went beyond the shops. The stands offered regional specialties, including sweet and hearty tree cakes. The church taverns and the hut magic were contact points for warming drinks and delicacies and offered a sociable ambience.

Another cultural aspect was the special exhibition "Stadtflüster" in the city library, which focused on local history and gave visitors insight into the past of the region. This exhibition will be shown by mid -December and certainly offers an interesting reason for a visit.

Festive opening of the carnival season

One of the highlights of the evening was the ceremonial opening of the carnival season. At 6:45 p.m. Mayor Christoph Stark symbolically handed over the city chain to the new carnival president Tino Kulmer. At this ceremony there were also representatives of the carnival guilds from Feldbach, Kirchberg and Weiz, which created a festive atmosphere. This opening represents the official starting signal for the carnival season in Gleisdorf and is already looking forward to the big carnival show, which is planned for February 2025.

The Dan kitchen studio impressed with the Bora Cooking Experience and enabled the guests to discover new delicacies. The "Siniwelter Ilz Bach Teifl" exhibition in the Andi’s Café, which created a mood with eerie Perchten masks, also proved to be a crowd puller.

The shopping night in Gleisdorf proved to be a complete success and offers a perfect setting for a successful evening with a successful mix of shopping experience, cultural program and culinary delights. The anticipation for future events such as the big carnival show next year is already noticeable.
