changes and challenges
The interim president Hofrat Michael Rothschedl reviewed the year 2024 and emphasized both the highlights and the loss of Doro Kowatsch. The GFL was successfully represented at the Airpower 2024 in Zeltweg, where it received a lot of encouragement and its souvenir stand attracted many visitors. The commitment of the GFL should continue to show the history of the military air trip and promote the understanding of the need for powerful air forces.
With a membership of 418, the GFL shows a positive trend and plans to further expand its online presence in order to address younger members. In the new election, all positions were unanimously occupied without a vote against, which indicates a strong unity within the organization.
New President Karl Gruber commented on his choice and promised to start this new role with passion and commitment. He recalled the time of his training with Doro Kowatsch and emphasized how important working together was in the past. Colonel Roland Miedler, with the nickname "Hakan", also looks optimistic about the future and plans to advance ideas for the recruitment of new members.
