At the recent Slovenia Open in Zagorje ob Savi, the ASKÖ Leibnitz kickboxers achieved extraordinary success. In an impressive field of participants of 570 athletes and 86 clubs from eight different nations, the members of the Leibnitz team were able to achieve excellent placements.

Particularly noteworthy is Lars Zimmermann, who was awarded a silver medal twice in the U16 age group in the weight class up to 37 kg. Also noteworthy is the result of Stephan Kupsa, who was successful in the weight class up to 89 kg and contributed to the team's successful record.

First tournament experiences with success

Sandra Kupsa celebrated a special premiere when she took third place in her first tournament in the weight class up to 60 kg. She only had to admit defeat to the reigning veteran world and European champion from Italy. This performance is not only a strong sign for their future in kickboxing, but also shows the high competitiveness of the Leibnitz team.

Further successes were also achieved in other categories. Jasmin Kernbauer from the ASKÖ Leibnitz judo club was also able to achieve third place in the weight class up to 55 kg. Isabel Kupsa managed to achieve fifth place in the U13, weight class up to 37 kg, with a solid performance, while Sebastian Kupsa achieved ninth place in the U10, weight class up to 30 kg in his first tournament.

The impressive results of the Leibnitz athletes not only show their commitment and hard work, but also the high level that is promoted in the ASKÖ Leibnitz kickboxing club. These successes are not only personal triumphs for the athletes, but also a confirmation for the coaches and supporters of the club.

The event in Slovenia once again proved that the ASKÖ Leibnitz team is among the best and can look forward to future competitions. For more information, see the current reporting on www.leibnitzaktuell.at.
