Lebenshilfe Leibnitz: Bridge to the first labor market for people with disabilities
The Lebenshilfe Leibnitz pursues the goal of enabling people with disabilities to participate in working life with the motto "Work like others". However, the transition to the first job market remains a major obstacle, which is often associated with challenges for many affected people. Integration into regular employment relationships is often a long and rocky way for this group.
That is why Lebenshilfe is now taking measures to make their clients make their way into the labor market. A promising project is being built in Leibnitz. The aim is to create barrier -free jobs and to promote the individual skills of people with disabilities. This is done in cooperation with local companies that are willing to support this initiative.
Integrational approaches
The project could serve as a model for similar projects. A central element is the cooperation with companies that are interested in developing various teams. Through these partnerships, people with disabilities have the opportunity to gain practical experience in various areas and improve their professional skills. Ideally, this process not only facilitates integration into regular jobs, but also contributes to the awareness of society for the topics of inclusion and participation.
The Lebenshilfe Leibnitz has already been able to record some successes in the integration of people with disabilities and strives to expand these positive developments. Despite the challenges that the transition to the first labor market brings, the University of Applied Sciences and Lebenshilfe remains optimistic that its efforts will lead to a positive change in the long term. Both the clients and employers play a crucial role here.
The idea behind this innovative approach is to reduce the barriers between protected employment relationships and regular working life. Through targeted support and further training, people with disabilities should be able to gain a foothold independently and successfully in the first job market.
