Journey through the fog: Art and nature in St. Ruprecht
In a special adventure for the hiking friends from Diwan, the day started early at 7:07 a.m. at the train station in Hengsberg. The group made their way to St. Ruprecht an der Raab to take part in the Hans Pendl wood carving hike. This hike is all about art and presents the impressive wood carving works by the local artist.
In total, 34 weatherproof hiking friends were found in the parking lot of the market -heured Strobl. After a little refreshment with ants cake and upholstery zip, they competed in the first stage of the themed hiking trail, which included the Burgthannerweg. The path meandered through the autumn -colored high forest until they reached Stefaniequelle. The stay on this source was used by many to cost the clear spring water, the healing effects in eye problems.
a pleasure for the senses
Although the fog clouded the view, hiking in the dense forest was a real pleasure. The group made a short stop at the child's blessing place and admired the world's largest nature DDD television, which shows news and weather reports from St. Ruprecht. After the Burgthannerweg was behind them, they continued to hike through the colorful leaf carpet of the forest to a clearing on which a break was taken.
The well -marked route led the hikers through orchards until they came to Rauchberg. From there it was not far back to the starting point, so that the first loop of the hike was successfully completed. On the way back past the Friedensgrotte, the group switched to the core chapel path. After a few meters of altitude they reached the Hubertus chapel, where it was time for a snack and a small spiritual drink to fortify themselves for the further hike.
The November sky continued to be cloudy, and despite the dense fog, the hiking friends could enjoy the beauty of nature, even if the panorama of the Schöckl, Kulm and Rabenwald remained hidden behind the fog. At the core chapel, fresh strawberries were tasted from the berriesenstoak vending machine, an unusual enjoyment at this time of year.
The return and the art park
The way back led over the "Arndorfer Wald" to the district of Arndorf of St. Ruprecht. Here the group at the Arndorf prayer chapel held a group photo and then hiked comfortably back to Gasthaus Strobl.
On the way there they visited the lovingly created art park, which united nature and art in a wonderful way. Many artists contributed to this park, which leaves a lasting impression.
At the end, the hiking fans approved a warm meal in a cozy, warm atmosphere in the Strobl inn. The friendly hosts offered an excellent hospitality and were happy about the visit to the hiking group. A big thank you goes to all participants who contributed to this successful hiking day. Some photos of the day can be found at: here .
