Arnfelser Ehrenring for Hermann Steinwender: A tribute on 60 years of culture

While the Arnfels castle played the Premiere of their Christmas fairy tale "Josef and Maria", Hermann Steinwender, the founding member of this theater group, experienced a very special honor: The market town of Arnfels awarded him the "Goldenen Ring".

Hermann Steinwender, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday, received this award as recognition for his significant contributions to the cultural landscape of Arnfels. Mayor Karl Habisch, who presented the certificate during the performance, underlined how proud the community is on the castle games that act as an ambassador for Arnfels.

honorary occasion for a rare award

The allocation of the "golden honorary ring" is a very rare award. In the past 80 years, only a few personalities, including the then Mayor Franz Eckrieder and Johann Lampl, have received this honor. Mayor Habisch said: "Every mayor is not lucky enough to award this award because it is very rarely awarded."

Hermann Steinwender, who took over the "Arnfelser Castle Games" from his father, led them to a successful project for many years. He is not only known for his cultural merits, but also as a former mayor, who decisively developed Arnfels. He has already been awarded the country's “golden honor”, which also emphasizes his merits.

"It couldn't fit better: 60 years of Arnfels Castle Games and 90 years Hermann Steinwender," said Mayor Habisch in his speech.

After the award was presented, Steinwender expressed warm words of thanks to the community: "This is the most beautiful award you can get for your work, and I didn't expect it." This honor feels like a confirmation of his deep connection with Arnfels, where he was always proud to be part of the community.

a strong legacy for the future

The Arnfels castle games are more than just a theater group; They are a valuable cultural asset that contributes to the identity of Arnfels. Mayor Habisch emphasized that the support of the community is still secured in the future and that the loyalty of the audience remains the most important basis for success.

Steinwender remembered how important it was to realize projects together with other people and how much fun gave him to contribute to the awareness of Arnfels. "It was always nice and you always found a group with which you could do something," he reveals.

A special note of the ceremony was the preparation of the "Golden Honor Ring", which was created by the granddaughter of the long -time actor Ewald Laber. This connection of family history underlines the cultural roots that are deeply anchored in the community.

The premiere of "Josef and Maria" was not only a festival for the senses, but also a tribute to the story and the legacy of the Arnfels Castle Games, which now go into the 60th year of its existence. This performance, together with the honor of Hermann Steinwender, makes this evening unforgettable.
