Westbahn brings Swiss trains: Faster connections for Carinthia!
The Westbahn revolutionizes long -distance traffic on the southern railway line! From March 2025, new, modern trains between Vienna and Villach as well as Graz and Klagenfurt will be deployed. These trains, which come from a Swiss manufacturer, are 200 meters long and offer 422 seats. With a rapid speed of 250 km/h, drive through the Koralmtunnel and only need 39 minutes for the route from Graz to Klagenfurt, which is six minutes faster than the ÖBB trains. Managing Director Thomas Posch announced this at a press conference in Vienna.
In contrast to the ÖBB, which exclude you in Kühnsdorf, the Westbahn is open to the stop.
