In Bad Mitterndorf, the ÖVP 41.22 % (9 mandates) and the SPÖ won 39.43 % (8 mandates), while the FPÖ fell to 19.36 % and received 4 mandates. Compared to the municipal council elections 2020, there is a certain decline in votes for the ÖVP, which at that time received 43.3 %, while the SPÖ achieved 34.6 % and the FPÖ only 5.7 %. The turnout was 65.2 %in 2020.

The number of municipal council members depends on the population of the community. Municipalities with up to 1,000 inhabitants may choose 9 members, while in larger communities, according to their size, up to 31 members can be represented in the municipal council.
