Gratwein-Straßengel, Österreich - in Gratwein-Straßengel, near Graz, there was a dramatic incident on Friday evening when a 34-year-old woman was attacked by a Rottweiler. According to reports from OE24.at, the young woman was attacked by the aggressive 60 kilogram Rottweiler at around 8 p.m. Despite an allegedly created muzzle, the dog bit several times into her legs, hips and belly, which led to serious injuries. The police finally had to intervene and shoot the animal to save the woman.

The dramatic scene took place when several emergency calls received the police in which callers called for help because a woman was lying on the floor and desperately screaming for help. The police initially tried to deter the dog with the subsequent tone horn, which was unsuccessful. The use of pepper spray also did nothing. Only when the Rottweiler turned away from the woman briefly did the officers shot on him, although the woman was not endangered. The injured person was admitted to the state hospital in Graz with severe bite wounds, but there was no danger to life, according to the police.
It is particularly frightening that the same Rottweiler had already bitten a five -year -old child three years ago. After this incident, the 45-year-old dog owner was issued by the veterinary office. According to the investigation, both the Rottweiler and another mixed breed dog were on a leash during the incident, but apparently a deal with another dog owner, which the attack triggered. Investigations into negligent bodily harm were initiated because the circumstances of this attack are now being examined more closely.
