An anniversary dedicated to musical theater

The gala for the awarding of the Austrian Music Theater Prize 2025 will take place on September 17, 2025 at 7 p.m. in the tent of the Circus Theater Roncalli on Heumarkt. To mark the 10th anniversary of the prize, a new illustrated book is being published that captures important personalities and moments from recent years. The illustrated book, the proceeds of which will benefit independent music theater productions that have been financially burdened during the pandemic, costs 29.90 euros. In addition, to celebrate the anniversary, an exquisite statuette will be made depicting a feather and a panpipe with seven pipes - a symbol of the panpipe from Mozart's "Magic Flute" and the traditional flame technique, which is considered a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.
