Wien, Österreich - A significant year for the Catholic Church is imminent! Pope Francis opens the Holy Year 2025 on December 24, which is under the motto "Pilgrim of Hope". In Austria, the diocesan opening services will take place on December 29th in the cathedral churches. Bishop Alois Schwarz leads the celebrations in St. Pölten at 10.30 a.m., while Cardinal Christoph Schönborn in Vienna celebrates the service at 10.15 a.m. The celebrations will also take place in the cathedral churches in Linz, Innsbruck, Graz and Klagenfurt, partly accompanied by star singers, as on reported.
