GAK looking for a trainer: Who brings a breath of fresh air to the red devils?
After a surprising out of trainer Rene Poms, the Austrian Bundesliga club GAK faces a major challenge. The separation was officially announced on Friday morning after the first rumors had already made the rounds on Thursday. The last conversation between Poms, assistant coach Dino Skvrev and sports director Didi Elsneg took place in the training center in Graz. After only 14 minutes, Poms hissed without saying a word, Davone. This decision follows a disappointing record of 12 games, in which Poms could only win 3 victories, 3 undecided and 6 defeats, such as the Kleine Zeitung reported.
Change of coach and search for successors
The sporting leadership of the GAK, including sports director Dieter Elsneg and technical director Tino Wawra, is already looking for a new coach. The priority is now to "set new impulses" in order to save the team from relegation in the next ten decisive games. The club urgently needs a successor to someone who can quickly motivate the players and spur them on new services. Candidates such as Werner Gregoritsch, Ferdinand Feldhofer or even the return of Gernot Messner are up for discussion. Michael Liendl from the GAK amateurs is also considered as a short -term solution. The crown noted that those responsible are called to act as quickly as possible.
In addition to the trainer changes, a change in the management of the GAK is also expected. The long -time managing director and finance director Harald Hochleitner will leave the club in the near future, but this is not related to the departure of Poms. The GAK faces a change that requires basic decisions to secure the future of the association.
