A week full of dramatic events in the Austrian Alps: On Monday morning, a serious skiing accident occurred in the Kärntner Weinkebiet ski area. An 82-year-old skier lost control of one of his skis on the Gößler exit under unknown circumstances and fell against a tree. The immediately alarmed helpers found the man in a critical condition - neither responsive nor with a noticeable heartbeat. The resuscitation started immediately, which was later successfully continued by the emergency doctor crew of the helicopter C 11. A few days earlier, on Thursday afternoon, another shocking incident occurred in East Tyrol. During an avalanche on the Kauschkahorn, a group of six of tourers was brought into trouble.
