Styrian landlords: honor for long -term outstanding hospitality

In an impressive celebration in the old university of Graz, domestic landlords were honored, who have emerged from the hospitality industry for many years of merit. The event, which is organized every two years by the WKO Styria division, honored landlords who have been working in the area for over 30 years and have made a significant contribution to the Styrian hospitality. The “landlord rose” was presented by the tourism councilor Barbara Eibinger-Miedl, WKO President Josef Herk and other industry representatives.

Among the award -winning landlords from the Deutschlandsberg district are three who impress with their personal stories and their commitment to the hospitality industry. Evelyne Heinzl, the operator of the "Schwanberger Stüberl" in Bad Schwanberg, started her career after the compulsory school in his parents' business. In 1981 she and her husband Johann opened the Stüberl, which is now being continued by her daughter Christina.

Another brilliant example is Annemarie Reinbacher from the "Schönaicherhof" in Wettmannstätten. From an early age, she did everything to help in the hospitality industry and on the farm. She started her training as a cook and waitress at the age of 14. Later she worked in the “Alpenblick” inn in Vorarlberg before taking over the management of the Schönaicherhof when her aunt fell ill. Since then she has pushed ahead with numerous developments in the inn, including the expansion of the new dining room.

also Maria Luise Ziegler from the "Wirtprimus" in Wies was honored for her services. In 1984 she took over her mother's business and led him too popular. In 2007, the inn received the title of the most popular inn in Styria, supported by impressive 146,000 public votes. Another remarkable milestone was the anniversary for the 100th anniversary of the house in 2018. Today, the “host leap” is already led by its daughter in the fourth generation.

The recognition of these hosts not only reflects their individual performance, but also emphasizes the valuable role of the hospitality industry in the region. These award winners contribute significantly to the culinary delights and the tradition of Styrian hospitality. This shows how important commitment and passion that are applied to work.
