Woman bounces off a car against street lamp - rescue in action!

On Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2025, there was a shocking traffic accident on the B76 near Hollenegg in the Deutschlandsberg district. For unexplained reasons, a driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed against a street lamp with full force. The woman was injured and had to be taken care of by the Red Cross before being taken to the hospital for further treatment. In addition to the rescue workers, the police and the Hollenegg fire brigade were also on duty to cope with the situation, as the Krone reported.

Another accident in Hof

A similar incident occurred on the same Saturday morning in Hof, where a 25-year-old driver in Flachgau also crashed into a street lantern. The driver had overlooked a parked car and lost control of her vehicle after driving over 100 meters. She and her 32-year-old passenger also bore injuries of an indefinite degree and had to be admitted to the Salzburg State Hospital. An alkotest resulted in a value of 0.8 per thousand, which also dramatizes the circumstances of the accident, as reported.

The intensity of these traffic accidents raises questions about safety on the streets, especially in the early morning hours, where visibility and concentration are often affected. Both incidents emphasize the need to take traffic safety seriously and act responsibly.
