Anke Lammer: The first director of HTL Kapfenberg officially appointed

In a solemn ceremony, Anke Lammer was officially appointed director of HTL Kapfenberg last Friday. It is not only characterized by its expertise, but also by its special role as the first female leadership of a higher technical educational institution in Styria. Minister of Education Martin Polaschek (ÖVP) personally took the time to hand over the decree, which underlines the meaning of the moment.

The congratulations also included the Styrian educational director Elisabeth Meixner and Ernst Führer, who heads the Upper Styria East education region. Other prominent guests were LAbg. Cornelia Izzo (ÖVP) and the Kapfenberg Vice Mayor Monika Vukelic-Auer (SPÖ). Your presence shows the broad support for Lammer and the recognition of her work.

from the teaching experience for management

Anke Lammer brings a lot of experience to the new position. She led her studies in mathematics and physics at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz to the teaching position. Among other things, she was deputy head of the institute at the University of Education and played a crucial role in the introduction of central Matura in Styria. In addition, she worked as a landlady of a buffet and owner of a learning institute. With her appointment to the director, however, she gave up this learning institute, but remains faithful to her passion for the transfer of knowledge, as she explained in an earlier interview.

The way to the directors' position was not without challenges. After retirement by Ernst Zisser, the previous director, Jörg Spöttl was used interim. The subsequent selection process was characterized by difficulties, which meant that the whole procedure had to be restarted. Ultimately, Lammer prevailed in a nationwide application process and finally received the desired decree that seals her official appointment.

The HTL Kapfenberg, where around 1,000 students are taught, is now under their direction, and the region's educational landscape can look forward to the developments under their management. Lammer has already proven that she has the necessary expertise to master the challenges of this important role.
