Schlager queen during the start: Melissa Naschenweng conquers the canvas!
Kärnten, Österreich - The Carinthian pop singer Melissa Naschenweng faces an important turning point in her career. On August 11, 2025, it was announced that she will play her first leading role in the home comedy "Herzklang - Back to you". In this film she embodies the protagonist Melanie, a successful singer who doubts her way to show business. After being cheated by her boyfriend, she flees back to her homeland Carinthia, where she can draw new strength on her grandmother's alpine pasture. The plot of the film moves between returning to the old homeland and the search for new love, with Melanie developing a relationship with a Carinthian National Park ranger.
The filming for "Heart Sound - Back to You" began on August 5, 2025 and should be completed by the beginning of September 2025. The filming takes place in picturesque regions such as Carinthia, East Tyrol and Vienna. Directed by Patricia Frey, while the script was written by Harald Haller and Marc Brugger. In addition to Melissa Naschenweng, Ferdinand Seebacher, Michael Steinocher, Katharina Pichler, Christina Cervenka, Martin Muliar, Elfriede Schüsseleder and Rainer Wöss can also be seen in other roles. The radiation of the film is planned for 2026 on ORF.
an autobiographical approach
Melissa Naschenweng itself describes her role as a “autobiographical” and recognizes parallels to her own life. She previously participated in successful comedies such as "Pulled Pork" and "Neo Nuggets", which could give additional impulses for her acting career. The development of Melanie's character not only reflects her artistic work, but also personal experiences that play into the presentation.
The film appears in a particularly important context, since the Carinthian film, music and advertising industry becomes increasingly competitive internationally. Filmers such as Mario Kreuzer and the production company Monte Nero Productions can look back on a number of awards, which underlines the creative potential in Carinthia. At the same time, artists like Jacqueline Rauter with their award -winning short film "Armenia" prove that Carinthian filmmakers become visible on the world stage.
The opportunity to participate in a film of such scope could not only be a fresh start for Melissa Naschenweng, but also an opportunity to raise their musical and acting career to a new level. The audience can look forward to the broadcast in ORF in 2026 and for the developments that could result in the talented artist.
"Heart sound - Back to you" will focus on the first steps of Naschenwengs in acting in acting and at the same time throw a light on the aspiring film scene in Carinthia. The combination of personal story and regional flair promises an entertaining cinema experience.
