Center eleven: Help with learning and development difficulties for socially disadvantaged children in Salzburg

socially disadvantaged children in the city of Salzburg receive support in learning and development in the center of eleven in Liefering and in the neighboring district of Lehen. The center offers professional help when problems with development and learning occur.

The offer of help from the Center for Elf is particularly aimed at children, in whom a child welfare was already hazarded by the youth welfare office. Socially educated employees attend the families and conduct learning units and training in the center themselves. The goal is to create the same opportunities for children and to offer them low -threshold and direct help.

The State Councilor Christian Pewny visited the center of Elf and emphasizes that the facility has been a proven partner for decades and has made a valuable contribution to society. Last year an average of 50 children were accompanied and the country made around 800,000 euros available.

The Center Elf offers intensive care on behalf of child and youth welfare and school support. Holistic learning support in particular supports children and adolescents who are hardly or not at all caught up with school requirements. Targeted exercises are offered to improve motor skills and attention as well as training for weaknesses in spelling, reading or calculating. A learning program is also offered during the summer vacation.

The center of eleven is an important partner to compensate for social gaps in society and enable every child to start the best possible start.
