Salzburg's wind music in the spotlight: concert rating on October 19 and 20

On October 19 and 20, Salzburg is all about music when 19 brass music bands present their talents at the concert ranking in the Mozarteum. This event is not only a highlight in the musical calendar, but also a way for the chapels to demonstrate their skills and to compete in competition. It will be an exciting weekend for the musicians who take the stage full of anticipation and tension.

The preparation for these scoring games followed a lively summer with various Kirtagen, tent festivals and open -air concerts. While some chapels are already rehearsing for special occasions such as church concerts, others focus on the upcoming challenges. The concert ratings play an essential role in the Salzburg brass music scene by enabling the orchestras to show their music and look forward to the technical feedback of a jury.

competition and evaluation criteria

can participate this year all brass music orchestras that meet the requirements of the evaluation regulations. The event in Salzburg follows the successful ranking in Tamsweg in June and again offers the opportunity to compete in two different forms of score: "Polka, waltz, march" and "concertate literature". Each chapel has the task of presenting a compulsory piece and a self -chosen piece, which gives the jury valuable insights in terms of diversity and technical skills.

A three -member jury will evaluate the performances, with each chapel receiving a number of points as well as written or oral feedback. The jury for this special event is made up of well -known personalities: Gerhard Forman, state bandmaster of the Lower Austrian brass music association, Josef Feichter, music school director in Bruneck, and Christian Kramser, State Youth Officer in the Carinthian brass music association. The coordination of this evaluation group is the responsibility of Roman Gruber, the state bandmaster of Salzburg, who himself does not intervene in the ratings.
