Sponsorship for the monastery church: Help save Salzburg's history!
The Salzburg Capuchin monastery is looking for committed sponsors to ensure the financial means for the ongoing renovation work of the monastery church. This project is a comprehensive renovation that comprises an enormous amount of around 2.6 million euros. The monastery itself has to raise 650,000 euros, while the remaining costs are borne in equal parts by the city of Salzburg, the state and the Archdiocese of Salzburg.
Various objects are to be upgraded as part of the renovation, including paintings and liturgical objects. A catalog was published on the Capuchin website that offers 30 different sponsorship options. The monastery director, Br. Hans Pruckner, encourages interested supporters to become part of this important project: "Become part of a great story and help us to get this special Salzburg place for future generations."sponsorships and costs
Particular attention is paid to the main altar, for which 8,400 euros are still required. There is also a sponsorship for the side altar, which is dedicated to St. Felix von Cantalice and was supported with 4,200 euros. The sponsorships are diverse, so that smaller amounts also play a role. For example, sponsorships for the panel picture of St. John and for the resurrection schedule cost 360 euros each, while a confessional was included in the catalog with 1,700 euros.
The monastery's renovation work not only focuses on the interior designs, but also on the exterior design. The renovation work on the outside area of the monastery is already complete, where the facade shines in fresh yellow tones. The lighting of the monastery church and the sanitary facilities were also renewed. In addition, numerous windows have been replaced and the retaining wall has experienced an update. In the coming days, the wood gates will be overtaken.
The completion of the renovation work is duly celebrated: On January 12, a festival service will take place, in which high -ranking guests such as Archbishop Franz Lackner and Governor Wilfried Haslauer will be expected. In the weeks before the festival, several benefit events are also planned to attract supporters and draw attention to the project.
